Arizona State Universityï's Center for Indian Education has just published  a 
new monograph titled The Power of Native Teachers: Language and Culture in 
the  Classroom edited by David Beaulieu and Anna M.
Figueira, which is a result of  a five year research project on new Native 
teachers.  Included in this  project were eight case studies, including a new 
Navajo immersion teacher and a  new Hawaiian immersion teacher.  More
