Dear all,
Does anyone have a children's book(s) and/or other resources to recommend
with respect to the religious tolerance issue described below. (The text is
an edited version of a letter from the elementary school child's parent.)

---
For several days running, my daughter has been teased by other students --
in several grades and classes -- about religious beliefs...
She has been frightened and bewildered by this. Some of the kids have told
her she "will have a bad life" because our family does not share their
particular beliefs.
At this time of the year we all try so hard to be inclusive, understanding
and forgiving and I realize these children are acting out of curiosity. They
are seeking answers.
I am hoping we can share a message of tolerance and understanding for ALL
our children. Everyone is different. And we don't always all fit in neatly
to the Christian-Jewish-Muslim-Kwanzaa model that the school is promoting
right now, in a very commendable attempt to be inclusive.
Can we perhaps pass along to all parents that we need to be talking to our
children about all the kinds of bullying that there are -- and that this
includes interrogating others about their religious beliefs?
