Chapman University, a comprehensive, liberal arts based university, in
Southern California, is seeking full-time tenure-track faculty for the
School of Education starting August 2008.

 

Assistant Professor of Elementary Education Tenure Track

Qualifications include Ph.D./Ed.D. in education, expertise in teaching
and learning for diverse populations; demonstrated excellence in
teaching elementary core subjects; commitment to working collaboratively
within the School of Education and with local educational agencies;
practical K-6 field knowledge; strong interpersonal communication skills
and significant familiarity with student-centered environments and
cultural diversity. For candidates at junior rank, preference will be
given to those who show significant promise/commitment to scholarly
research.

Responsibilities include teaching elementary methods courses, advising
and mentoring credential and graduate students; and active scholarship
leading to publications.

                

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications. Chapman
