Greetings on behalf of the I AM HIP HOP, I AM HEALTH initiative.
 
My name is Dr. Che Joplin and I am one of the co-authors of the book I AM Hip-Hop, I AM Health. This publication is the creation of three young health professionals who grew up within the hip-hop culture, and have identified an opportunity to merge the voice of young people and adults that grew-up within the culture of hip-hop with health care and wellness. Dr. Ross Flowers, Dr. Gary Davis, and Dr. Che Joplin have taken a unique approach in fusing the two worlds together. With the creation of the I AM Hip Hop, I AM Health Book / Guide, these doctors make a complex subject of health care easy for the generations (post baby boomers) to digest and react. The goal is to influence a healthy, positive change within our global communities. 
 
Many organizations are in support of this movement. HIP HOP SUMMIT ACTION NETWORK and the not-for-profit organization UPLIFTMENT JAMAICA are two prestigous organizations recognizing the importance of educating our community about healthy life styles.
 
We are extending the opportunity for your college or university to be apart of this ground breaking movement. We would love to feature your institution as part of our national college tour in 08. We would also feature Dr. Benjamin F. Chavis, Jr. as event moderator/host.
 
Realizing that the music industry is a tremendous influence, bringing the two together, hip hop music and health, creates a unique and influential way of presenting health that can be understood and embraced.
