Carol Mukhopadhyay,

I am glad that you have brought up this point about race and gender. It does seem that a lot of time we look more at a race rather than a gender. I think that we do need to look at how males are more violent as a whole in every ethnicity than females are. I think that we need to try not to encourage kids to be put into their own gender roles as much. By this I mean try to not to shove the G.I. Joes and footballs into our boys faces, and dont just let girls play with barbies and dress them in only pink. I have not watched the video "Tough Guise" but I will try to get a copy of it soon.

I am always looking for a great film, or documentary that I can use in my future classroom to teach about multi-cultural education, or just a good documentary that can be easily incorporated into the classroom and have a lasting impact on my students. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know thank you,

                      Jamie Schoonover
