Joan,
I applaud your efforts in getting this important information out there.
Just a quick thought...if we frame the discussion as "young girls
struggling with their sexuality" we tend to place the locus of "the
problem" on the issue of sexuality / sexual identity and not call out
the reality of the systemic oppression that queer folks face. The
struggle for me was never with my sexuality, per se, but much more with
the systemic oppression and the backlash I would and have received
because of my lesbian identity.
Thus, as you do this very important work in your school (which I again
want to appreciate) I think it's important to reframe "the struggle" in
terms of the problem being the homophobic / heterosexist society that
seeks to oppress queer folks at every turn. That is where the true
"struggle" lies.

Subject: (NAME-MCE) Looking for article on lesbian/questioning teens
Hello everyone,
In an effort to educate students and faculty about the issues gay teens
face, I am looking for an in-depth article on female students struggling
with their sexual identity. We need the article to focus on girls
because
we are a girls' school.
Any ideas where I can search for it? Have you read one?
Thanks.
Joan
