Brown University's Continuing Studies Division seeks an associate dean
with an entrepreneurial inclination, creativity and the vision to
observe broad trends in post-degree and executive education and match
these to areas of academic expertise in our curriculum. The new dean
will bring demonstrated leadership experience and innovative curricular
design capacity to this growing academic organization.

Seven to ten years of experience in higher education academic
administration with programs in the area of institutional "outreach"
(i.e. continuing education, non-credit and credit certificate programs,
international programs, summer sessions, executive education).
Demonstrated leadership experience and excellent communication ability
is essential for public speaking, writing, presentations, chairing
committees and working with faculty, students, other administrators and
corporate/non-profit executives.  Proven management success is required
along with the ability to oversee a diverse team of co-workers.
Demonstrated project management capacity is required in order to direct
the many facets of a program through implementation and assessment.
