Subject: [COEEA] CT EarthNet meeting 11/14

The obstacles are familiar to many of us in Connecticut. As
environmental advocates, community activists, educators and individuals
we know the barriers to achieving our missions: lack of funds, time and
political clout. Please join us on Tuesday, November 14th, from 8:30 am
to 1:30 pm, at the Yale Peabody Museum, in New Haven, for a discussion
about how we might overcome such fundamental challenges.

This half-day meeting will bring together diverse groups of people from
local communities to discuss shared concerns about the state of the
environment in Connecticut and a proposal to create a new network called
Connecticut Earth Network (www.ctearthnet.org)

CT EarthNet has been proposed to serve as a network resource that would
assist community-based groups involved with environmental management and
education with fundamental needs, facilitate the sharing of information,
learning and expertise, and foster cooperation toward shared objectives.
You can read more about the idea for this resource, and an agenda for
the upcoming meeting, and register for the meeting at www.ctearthnet.org
. Registration is required. RSVP requested by Fri., 11/3.
