ATTENTION STUDENT LEADERS!!!
 
We are looking for motivated and energetic college students who may be interested in participating in the planning of a historical event -- an upcoming national conference entitled "Loving Decision Conference 2007: The Next 40 Years of Multiracial Communities".  This conference will take place to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Loving vs. Virginia decision (the case which overturned the laws against interracial marriages in many states in 1967 - www.ameasite.org/loving <http://www.ameasite.org/loving>  and www.lovingday.org <http://www.lovingday.org> ). It will surely be a conference you all won't want to miss!  And it's not solely an academic conference... we are in the process of organizing a possible cruise, an entertainment extravaganza (with celebrity headliners), family barbecue, and much, much more!

The conference will be held at Roosevelt University in Chicago during the weekend of June 21-June 24.  It's a monumental event coordinated by the Association of MultiEthnic Americans (AMEA) and many of their affiliates and allies from across the country, including Canada.  We are bringing together organizations, academics, professionals, families, students, and children from across the country.

Because students such as yourselves are highly encouraged to attend this national conference, you can help them get there by participating in the planning. Benefits of participating in the organization of this conference are immense and include leadership and scholarship opportunities, potential letters of recommendation, and free admission to the conference.

Though at this time we are currently working out our funding, we hope to assist you and other students with housing hosts in Chicago. You would likely only have to cover transportation. Who knows, perhaps you might help to organize road trips from different cities and states.  Your creativity to help out is endless!
