Assistant Professor, Teacher Education
The University of Illinois at Springfield is one of three campuses of the University of Illinois. The campus serves approximately 4700 students in 21 graduate and 21 undergraduate programs. The Teacher Education Program is seeking an individual to teach some combination of secondary social science methods, technology for teachers, and middle school practices, including the opportunity to teach online and supervise student teachers. Minimum qualifications include an earned doctorate in education, at least three years classroom experience at the middle or secondary school level, a valid teaching certificate, proficiency in the use of technology, and potential for scholarly activity. Preference will be given to candidates with the following experience: student teacher supervision, college / university level teaching, and working with school personnel in staff development.
Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
