The Division of Teacher Education seeks qualified applicants for an
Assistant Professor with experience in ESOL/Bilingual Education. This is a
full-time, 9-month, tenure track position with summer session employment
probable, should it be desired. Salary dependent upon qualifications.

*Qualifications:*
· Earned Doctorate in Education or related field with primary
emphasis in ESOL/Bilingual education
· Expertise in two or more of the following areas: first & second
language acquisition; strategies and methods of teaching 1 st /2nd language
reading and language arts; cultural & community needs of culturally diverse
populations; and knowledge of current trends in ESOL/Bilingual and
Multicultural Education
· Bilingual language skills **
· Evidence of three years of licensed, successful K-12 teaching
experience working with English language learners
· Experience in college/university teaching and student supervision
preferred
*Responsibilities:* The individual hired for this position will teach both
undergraduate and graduate classes and supervise practicum students and
student teachers. Other responsibilities include student advising,
alternative calendar/off campus teaching, program development, and committee
work as required by the union contract. Summer employment will be
encouraged.
