Greetings, I have been staying out of the conversation but my mind is
racing. I can't help but say that
the discussion is great ! I am writing because legal and illegal is
being discussed. There are children who
came and grew up in the system of education---evidently ate here, had
medical care here and so on. Is
there any forgiveness for children who had nothing to do with being
brought here and served? They have no other
back home essentially as I see it. I am really bothered by this group
of individuals in the discussion. Do
they pay with their lives and their dreams for a situation that their
parents may have started but our society
allowed it ? Just asking. I don't know the answer but I know that I
believe this puts innocent people in a
a mess really. We often discuss punishing the whole class when one
student makes a mistake.

That question sounds like a non sequitur, Isabel, or maybe I
misunderstood it. People who break the law are certainly doing
something illegally. But I believe "illegal" in this discussion refers
to people who come into the country or stay in the country
illegally--breaking the law, certainly.
