Eugene, Oregon. On the I-5 corridor, somewhat midway between the bay area
and seattle. Small/Medium size city (about 150,000). College town. Plenty of
space for conferences and hotels and restaurants, but small enough to be
manageable. Good places to walk and bike. Moderate weather.
We are seeking your opinion.
The NAME Board is working on a schedule of conference sites for the next
five years. You will hear about the 2007 conference site soon. One of the
suggestions raised was to pick 5 cities and rotate among them. This would
make it much easier for planning purposes.
What 5 cities would you recommend?
We would like to spread them out geographically - West Coast, East Coast,
Mid-West, etc. We want to be in diverse cities with rich cultural
backgrounds. We need to keep hotel room costs down ideally to less that
$145.00 a night. There needs to be a major airport in the city, ideally
served by discount airlines.
Please share with us your thoughts on which 5 cities you should choose.
