Portland, Oregon is a fairly diverse city with an international airport
served by Southwest Air. Portland is still somewhat affordable and has
many interesting places to visit and plenty of beautiful scenery. The
Willamette River and its many bridges and the riverside walk paths are
an attraction, and the mountains are clearly visible during most of the
summer. The only drawback is the rainy season from October until April
when it rains almost every day.

We are seeking your opinion.
The NAME Board is working on a schedule of conference sites for
the next five years. You will hear about the 2007 conference site soon.
One of the suggestions raised was to pick 5 cities and rotate among
them. This would make it much easier for planning purposes.
What 5 cities would you recommend?
We would like to spread them out geographically - West Coast,
East Coast, Mid-West, etc. We want to be in diverse cities with rich
cultural backgrounds. We need to keep hotel room costs down ideally to
less that $145.00 a night. There needs to be a major airport in the
city, ideally served by discount airlines.
Please share with us your thoughts on which 5 cities you should
choose.
