A Multicultural Education Conference
When: Saturday, October 7, 2006
8:30am - 4:30pm
Where: Roseville Area High School
1240 County Rd B-2 West, Roseville, MN 55113
What: Day-long conference with sessions focused on
three strands:
1) Informating ourselves and building self-awareness for equity and
diversity;
2) Reforming classroom practice including pedagogy, environment, and
curriculum; and
3) Transforming our world through policy, accountability, and
systematic change.
Keynotes: Morning: Dr. Heather Hackman, Professor of Human
Relations and Multicultural Education at Saint Cloud State University
Lunch: A panel of local high school students sharing their
experiences, perceptions, and suggestions related to multiculturalism,
equity, and schooling

$40 for NAME members*, full-time students, and low-income attendees $60
for non-NAME members and all others
