Vice President for Institutional Diversity

The University of Kentucky invites application for the new position of
Vice President for Institutional Diversity. The VPID is charged with
advising the President and Provost on implications of all academic,
fiscal and administrative policy decisions on the University's
diversity goals; and with developing, implementing and evaluating of
the University's diversity plan in collaboration with governance and
administrative groups within the university. This position will be
actively involved with community engagement. Qualifications include a
doctoral (or other terminal) degree, record of academic achievement
making candidate eligible for tenured faculty appointment, experience
in higher education administration, and experience implementing
diversity initiatives.

Guidelines for Applying:
Review of applications will begin January 10, 2007 and will continue
until the position is filled. The University has a genuine commitment
to diversity, and strongly encourages applications and nominations
from women, minorities and all persons who contribute to inclusive
learning. Applicants should include a current vita and cover letter
reviewing the candidate's experiences, strengths, and accomplishments,
as well as the names and contact information for three references.
