Title: Research Specialist
Dept: SERVE Center/School of Education
Position Number: 13504

Responsibilities:
RESEARCH SPECIALIST for federally-funded, regional educational laboratory serving six southeastern states is being sought to: conduct research, evaluation or meta-analysis studies; implement research and evaluation activities related to field work in schools and school districts; provide technical assistance on assessment, evaluation, and data collection activities; summarize the quality of experimental research; design and conduct project evaluations; develop instruments for use in research of project evaluations.
This position will be a full-time employee of the SERVE Center at UNC-Greensboro with benefits and is located in Greensboro (NC).

Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Applied Educational Research, Experimental Research, Educational Research, or Program Evaluation (doctorate preferred) with a minimum of 2 years experience as a teacher and/or administrator, researcher or evaluator, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills. Knowledge and experience working in/with diverse communities and settings. Must be able to assess the quality of research, summarize findings from studies on a topic, conceptualize report findings and write for audiences of educators.
