Hello fellow list serve subscribers:
Apparently, there has been concern that I am censoring what is posted on the
list serve and concern that I am too slow at posting comments to the list
serve. I wish to share with you what I am doing as the list serve moderator.

First, I do not censor what is posted on the list serve. Due to the volume
of postings, you may have to refer to the archives to check that indeed your
posting is there. I do not post "out of office" auto replies (which are
often many) because these are not relevant to the list serve's conversation.
On a rare occasion, I might happen to get a posting that is meant for a
specific person. I will forward these e-mails to the person for whom this
posting was specifically intended. Thus, you readers are not bogged down
with irrelevant reading materials that do not serve to further our
dialgoues.

As for being too slow for some of your needs, I would like to say that I
check this account once or twice a day every day - Monday through Sunday -
no time off even the holidays. I never take a break, ever. I am concerned
that some of do not think that this is frequent enough. However, this is
what I am able to accomplish with my own life and work schedule. I ask that
you all are cooperative and patient as myself and Bill Howe try to provide
you with the best service that we can. I would also appreciate the use of
kind words when you feel that your needs are not be addressed in the manner
in which you desire. We wish to help you the best that we can.

I appreciate the dialogue and kindnesses that rise out of this exemplary
forum. I am grateful for all of your collegiate attitudes in this world of
turbulance and hurt. I think that we as a group are able to create our own
peaceful and kind energies out in this world through how we treat one
another in this forum and otherwise. It is an honor to serve you.
