I'm excited to share with you a new opportunity for spring 2007*.* 
 Primary Source is pleased to announce our new U.S. Study Tour- /Making 
Freedom: African American History in New England and New York.  

/Best of all, this tour is * completely free * to eligible educators!

application form*.  *Apply today to secure your space* (send via email, 
fax, or mail).

Tour dates:

March 5, 2007 (4-7 pm): Orientation at Primary Source
March 31, 2007 (9 am - 3 pm): Tour of Boston-area sites
April 14-20, 2007: Our bus will take us on a guided tour of historic 
African-American sites in Rhode Island, Martha's Vineyard, Connecticut, 
Massachusetts, and New York City.  
September 2007 date TBA: Follow up session at Primary Source

Tour highlights include: Newport Historical Society and Common Burying 
Ground* New Bedford sites and musical performance on African Americans 
in the whaling industry* Historic homes and beaches on Martha's Vineyard 
* The largest slaveholding plantation in the North * /Slavery in New 
York/ exhibit at the New York Historical Society * Harlem Renaissance 
and Civil Rights tour *Art museum * Schomburg Center for Research in 
Black Culture * Soul food and Caribbean restaurants * Lectures by 
notable scholars * Theatre
