The University of Washington (UW) Office of Development and Alumni
Relations seeks a Director of Development for Diversity (DoD.) DoD will
provide primary advancement support for the unit's efforts to expand the
base of university-wide private scholarships for undergraduates with
diverse backgrounds or interests, under the general direction of the
Executive Director for Scholarships and Student Programs. The DoD will
also work closely with the Vice Provost and Vice President for Minority
Affairs, academic leaders, volunteers and other development staff to
identify, cultivate, and solicit major gift prospects (gifts of $25,000
and above) for undergraduate scholarships. Requires a Bachelor's degree
and 3-5 years of experience in institutional development, with an
emphasis on cultivating and soliciting major gifts of $25k and greater
as well as experience working with diverse constituency groups,
especially those recognized as underrepresented or underserved.
